Prepare for EF with Preparties Aplenty
Enchanted Forest Gathering might not be until the end of July, but the team is already providing plenty of parties to help us get through these next two months. With our signature brand of sacred, sexy, silly, and saucy there will be pre-parties taking place throughout California and even in Oregon. Each pre-party will offer different headliners, atmospheres, and activities and will provide a strong sense of what Enchanted Forest is all about. Community is towards the very top of the Enchanted Forest totem pole and the upcoming festivities will involve more than just the musical artists. Collaborative efforts birth great creations and these festivities leading up to the actual festival will be something memorable that you won’t want to miss.
If you’re in the Northern California region then you might want to move on over to the Arcata Theatre this Saturday the 7th for Dumpstaphunk and Object Heavy. Booty Shakin’ Music Productions and Enchanted Forest have teamed up to curate a night of funk and tons of fun. Dumpstaphunk comes from the culturally-rich city of New Orleans and have grown into a band with recognition from Rolling Stone and the New York Times. Object Heavy takes inspiration from many sources and has created their signature style with sounds of funk, blues, and hip-hop. Both bands feature live instrumentals which will conjure a night of organic sound and 10% of the proceeds will be donated towards Environment Protection Information Center which is a non-profit organization that focuses on Northwest California’s forests.
This Saturday the 7th at The Belasco, the crews of ABunDance, Grateful Generation, Euphonic Conceptions and In The Loop Productions are helping us throw a massive pre-party in Los Angeles with some of our favorite bass in the scene for your listening pleasure. Headliners include Minnesota, Liquid Stranger, Huglife, Christian Martin, Mikey Lion, Gladkill and Sugarpill among many others. As mentioned, these parties are collaborative events and music won’t be the only main attraction. Live visuals and art will be provided by Android Jones and Pixel Pusha, mermaids and faeries will be stirring up the mischievous vibrations, belly dancers and stilt walkers will grace The Belasco for your viewing pleasure, and crafty vendors will lure you in with their unique creations. If you are in or around the Los Angeles area then The Belasco is the place that you need to be on Saturday night!
Next month on June 7th, wiggle your way to San Francisco to 1015 Folsom for a night of delicious sounds for a cause. Euphonic Conceptions, Wormhole, Matt Haze, and Soundpieces will be helping us throw a massive party to help us Whomp the Vote in honor of the California primary and there’s nothing better to do on this day than dance the night of way; oh and, of course, vote. The venue will be transformed into a completely immersive environment with live art, live performances, installations, and political empowerment. A musical smorgasbord will be provided by Joker, An-ten-nae, Yheti, Boats, a slew of local talent, and more. If this isn’t reason enough to vote and celebrate, all attendees will receive one free drink before 10:15pm with presentation of an “I Voted” sticker.
A few days later on June 10th if you find yourself in the beautiful state of Oregon, we will be throwing an all-day Pool Party and Yogathon in Ashland at Jackson Wellsprings. Fridays are great days for rest and relaxation, so what better way to spend the day than splishing and splashing in a refreshing pool, taking a grounding yoga class, and bouncing away to one of your favorite musical artists? No other summer day sounds better than that! Tickets for this pre-party are limited and will go quickly. David Starfire, Birds of Paradise, AmaeLovesLife, and other favorites will be providing the soundtrack to our all-day, summer pool-party alongside local vendors and massage therapists. A full day of rejuvenation is waiting for you!
Join Enchanted Forest Gathering at any of our pre-parties happening within the next couple of months and enjoy a collaborative creation between us and our communities. If you haven’t been to our festival but are curious what it might be like, hit up one of the pre-parties to sample the magic. You won’t be disappointed!
